The background of this research is based on the limited number of studies on abusive supervision in non-Western countries, particularly in Indonesia, which is characterized by high power distance. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design involving 252 employees who have direct supervisors in the province of South Sulawesi. The sample was selected purposively, and the scale was administered via an online platform. Data analysis was carried out using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with the WLSMV estimation method. The results show that the unidimensional model of the scale has a very good fit based on CFI (.998), TLI (.996), and SRMR (.019), with an RMSEA value of (.099). All items had factor loading values above 0.89 and were significant (p < .001), as well as an Average Variance Extracted (AVE) value of .89. In addition, the overall Omega coefficient value of .94 indicates very high internal reliability. These findings indicate that this scale is proven to be valid and reliable in measuring perceptions of abusive supervision in the Indonesian context. Practically, this short scale is useful for researchers and organizational practitioners because it can be used efficiently without increasing respondent fatigue, while still being able to provide an accurate depiction of the dynamics of abusive supervision.
Rizky Nur Fahrezi Hillman Wirawan Findra Anugrah Putri Firdaus Zahra Rizqi Quraini M. The adaptation process followed standard procedures for cross-cultural instrument adaptation, including forward translation, back-translation, field testing, and psychometric analysis. Data were collected from 252 workers in South Sulawesi Province with diverse demographic backgrounds and types of employment. Analysis was carried out using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and internal reliability analysis. The results showed that two main dimensions of the UWES-9, namely vigor and dedication, had adequate construct validity and reliability, while the absorption dimension showed weaknesses in convergent validity and internal consistency (ω = .35). The three-factor model of the Indonesian version of the UWES-9 did not yet demonstrate optimal model fit (CFI = .83, TLI = .74, RMSEA = .22, SRMR = .09), indicating the need for structural modification, particularly in the absorption dimension. These findings highlight the importance of contextually and culturally valid instrument adaptation to ensure effective and accurate use before being widely applied for psychological measurement in Indonesian workplaces. In addition, further research is highly recommended to explore cultural factors that may influence individuals' responses to this instrument within the local work context.
Findra Anugrah Putri Firdaus Hillman Wirawan Rizky Nur Fahrezi Zahra Rizqi Quraini M. The study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, school staff, and students. The study used the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model developed by Daniel Stufflebeam as the analytical framework. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the implementation of GSS was supported by institutional commitment, stakeholder participation, and school readiness in promoting healthy lifestyles. From the context aspect, the program addressed students’ low awareness regarding hygiene and environmental cleanliness. From the input aspect, the school demonstrated adequate organizational support, human resources, and supporting facilities, although infrastructure limitations remained. From the process aspect, GSS activities were implemented through healthy nutrition campaigns, environmental maintenance, physical exercise, and health education programs integrated into students’ daily routines. From the product aspect, the program contributed positively to improving students’ healthy behavior, environmental awareness, discipline, and school environmental quality. However, several challenges were identified, including limited facilities, inconsistent student awareness, and limited time allocation for program activities. This study concludes that the Healthy School Movement has significant potential to improve students’ quality of life through healthy behavioral development and supportive school environments. Sustainable collaboration, policy support, and infrastructure improvement are necessary to strengthen program effectiveness and sustainability.
Ita Rahmayanti Kartini Kartini Fatmaridah Sabani Copyright (c) 2026 Ita Rahmayanti, Kartini Kartini, Fatmaridah Sabani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-05-20 2026-05-20 101 114 10.51629/ijeamal.v7i1.306 The Intellectual Structure of Social Media Marketing Research https://harpressid.com/IJEAMaL/article/view/303
The rapid growth of digital technologies and online platforms has significantly transformed marketing practices, leading to the increasing importance of social media marketing in contemporary business strategies. As scholarly interest in this field continues to expand, it becomes essential to understand the intellectual structure and thematic development of social media marketing research. This study aims to map the knowledge structure and identify key research themes within the social media marketing literature through a bibliometric analysis. Using data retrieved from the Scopus database, this research applies bibliographic coupling and network visualization techniques with the assistance of VOSviewer to analyze relationships among publications and identify major thematic clusters within the field. The findings reveal several interconnected research streams that highlight the role of social media in shaping digital marketing strategies, consumer engagement, brand relationships, and consumer decision-making processes. The results also demonstrate that social media marketing research is inherently multidisciplinary, integrating perspectives from marketing, digital communication, and business management. By mapping the intellectual structure of the field, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the evolution of social media marketing research and provides a foundation for identifying emerging research directions and future research opportunities in digital marketing.
Shahri Abu Seman Copyright (c) 2026 Shahri Abu Seman https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-05-20 2026-05-20 29 62 10.51629/ijeamal.v7i1.303 Digital Leadership in SMEs https://harpressid.com/IJEAMaL/article/view/304
Digital leadership has become increasingly important in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) as firms face growing pressure to adapt to digital transformation, innovation demands, and changing competitive conditions. However, the literature on digital leadership in SMEs remains fragmented across related themes such as technology adoption, innovation capability, and business performance. This study aims to map the development of research on digital leadership in SMEs through a bibliometric analysis of Scopus-indexed journal articles published between 2021 and 2026. The dataset consisted of 453 English-language journal articles within the Business, Management and Accounting subject area. Descriptive analysis was conducted using Scopus Analyze Search Results, while thematic mapping was performed using VOSviewer through keyword co-occurrence analysis. The findings show that research on digital leadership in SMEs has grown rapidly, particularly after 2023, and has developed as an interdisciplinary and internationally distributed field. The thematic structure remains strongly anchored in digital transformation and digital technologies, while digital leadership appears as an emerging but increasingly strategic theme linked to innovation capability, competitive advantage, and organizational performance. The study suggests that the field is shifting from a focus on operational digital adoption toward a stronger concern with leadership capability and long-term competitiveness. These findings contribute to a clearer understanding of the intellectual structure of the field and provide directions for future research and practice.
Darwish Tahiry Copyright (c) 2026 Darwish Tahiry https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-05-20 2026-05-20 63 76 10.51629/ijeamal.v7i1.304 Talent Management And Academic Workforce Research In Higher Education: A Bibliometric Review https://harpressid.com/IJEAMaL/article/view/307
Research on talent management and the academic workforce in higher education has expanded across multiple disciplinary areas, yet the literature remains conceptually dispersed and lacks an integrated bibliometric synthesis. This study aims to map the development, intellectual structure, and emerging themes of talent management and academic workforce research in higher education. A bibliometric review was conducted using the Scopus database, with data retrieved through the TITLE-ABS-KEY field and refined through a staged screening process. The final sample comprised 650 English-language journal articles published between 2015 and 2025. The analysis combined performance analysis and science mapping to examine publication trends, influential contributors, collaboration patterns, and thematic evolution. The findings show that the field has grown steadily, with an annual growth rate of 13.04%, indicating increasing scholarly attention to the strategic role of academic talent in higher education. The literature is interdisciplinary and widely distributed across journals, institutions, and countries, although author collaboration remains relatively fragmented. Conceptually, the field has evolved from traditional personnel and workforce concerns toward broader and more strategic themes, including leadership, job satisfaction, work engagement, well-being, workload, and institutional sustainability. These results suggest that talent management in higher education is increasingly understood as a multidimensional institutional strategy for attracting, developing, supporting, and retaining academic staff. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive intellectual map of the field and offering directions for future research on sustainable academic workforce management in higher education.
Moh. Service failures threaten customer trust and satisfaction and expose systemic vulnerabilities in ethical service delivery and complaint resolution. This study aims to map the intellectual and conceptual landscape of research at the intersection of service failure, consumer protection, and ethical vulnerability. Using a data-driven bibliometric approach, it seeks to identify thematic clusters, evolving discourse patterns, and knowledge gaps. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on 677 peer-reviewed journal articles from the Scopus database, published between 2005 and 2025. Two complementary techniques were employed: (1) bibliographic coupling, to identify intellectual linkages among recent publications, and (2) co-word analysis, to map the conceptual structure of recurring themes. The dataset was processed and visualized using VOSviewer software. The bibliographic coupling analysis revealed five thematic clusters, ranging from emotional and tangible strategies in service recovery to customer retaliation and systemic value co-creation/destruction. Co-word analysis identified four thematic clusters: (1) service failure and social media-driven recovery strategies, (2) justice and emotional mechanisms of satisfaction and loyalty, (3) trust, human-centered design, and decision-making in digital service environments, and (4) complaint behavior and service quality in post-recovery evaluation. Across both analyses, concepts such as fairness, emotional regulation, trust, and digital transparency emerged as central constructs linking service ethics with customer experience. The findings reveal a paradigmatic shift in service recovery scholarship from isolated transactional models to emotionally intelligent, culturally contextualized, and digitally networked frameworks. Service failure is increasingly understood as an operational breakdown and an ethical flashpoint, implicating fairness, transparency, and consumer dignity. The study offers a structured knowledge map for future research and managerial innovation at the nexus of ethics, service design, and consumer protection.
Ari Irawan Taufiq Ismail April Kim Lalisan Copyright (c) 2026 Ari Irawan, Taufiq Ismail, April Kim Lalisan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2026-05-20 2026-05-20 115 134 10.51629/ijeamal.v7i1.342
